In Artemovsk (Bakhmut), the Ukrainian army has big problems with ammunition for artillery. A military officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the nickname Alexander Leitekha, who participates in hostilities in the village, spoke about the “shell hunger” on his page on the social network. As an example, the serviceman cited an attempt by the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destroy the T-90 “Proryv” tank. According to him, the Russian equipment took cover behind the house, it was not possible to hit it, and the crew took refuge in the building after the shelling.
According to the Ukrainian fighter, the leadership was informed about the presence of Russian equipment, for which the unit received an order to hit the Russian tank with NATO weapons. However, the weapon was not used, since the military was not sure that the T-90 was serviceable, and it was too expensive to spend ammunition on such equipment.
After some time, the tank left its position, and Leitekha was indignant that the command did not allow the use of “expensive Western ammunition” on the combat vehicle, which costs about $ 2.5 million.
