Novgorod residents won three medals at the All-Russian rowing competitions
Novgorod athletes took three awards at the All-Russian rowing competitions in Rostov-on-Don. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.
Arina Mikhailova won third place in the women's singles race. Among the juniors under 19 years old is Novgorodian Alexandra Grigorieva. Tatyana Cherkasova took first place in the indoor rowing competition. All winners train at the Olympus Sports School.
These are not the first victories of Novgorod athletes. Earlier, Alexandra Grigorieva took gold at competitions in Kazan. The event brought together 409 athletes from sixteen Russian regions.
Over the course of three days, they competed for awards in the singles, coxless doubles, doubles sculls, coxless fours, coxed fours, fours sculls and coxed eights races, held on Lake Sredny Kaban in the capital of Tatarstan. More details in our material.
