The National Media Group withdrew from the capital of Synergy LLC. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, now 80% of Synergy is owned by Granat LLC, another 20% by Sabiero Holdings Limited LLC (Sabiero Holdings Limited).

The NMG and the Synergy group of companies (the Russian business of Viasat) have officially confirmed TASS the fact of the release without disclosing details. An agency source with knowledge of the deal said that NMG had decided to end its partnership with Viasat “because it created a conflict of interest in light of NMG’s new planned joint venture with Rostelecom.”

In 2015 the Swedish company MTG sold non-terrestrial Viasat TV channels. The foreign channels of the group were acquired by Sabiero Holdings Ltd (a subsidiary of Baring Vostok), and the Russian business was acquired by Synergy LLC (owned by the president of the outdoor advertising operator Gallery Anatoly Karyakin). In 2016 NMG received permission from the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the purchase of 80% of the authorized capital of Synergy LLC.

The deal included a package of TV1000, TV1000 Action, TV1000 Comedy HD, TV1000 Megahit HD, TV1000 Premium HD, TV1000 Russian Cinema, Viasat Explore, Viasat Golf HD, Viasat History, Viasat Nature, Viasat Nature/History HD, Viasat Sport and Viasat Sport HD Da Vinci.
