Nepalese Ambassador to Russia Milan Raj Tuladhar is negotiating the resumption of direct flights to Kathmandu. Air service ceased in 2004.

“With direct flights, Russians will come to Asia more often. Nepal is the center of Asia. We will receive guests from Russia, and there will be more tourists from the Nepalese side to Russia. Therefore, I ask Aeroflot to work on resuming flights to Kathmandu. For my part, I will also do everything in my power for this,” the diplomat said. “RIA News”.

As the ambassador explained, air traffic was interrupted mainly due to economic reasons. He believes that now the situation has changed and in the “post-pandemic period, everything is now gaining momentum, especially international tourism.” According to the diplomat, many Russian tourists want to visit Nepal.
