The pumping of weapons by Ukraine leads to the death of civilians not only in the Donbass, but also in Ukrainian cities, Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council, pointing to pictures of fragments of American air defense missiles that hit residential buildings.
Nebenzya said that Ukrainian users posted on the Internet photos of rockets that hit residential buildings in Izhgorod and Kyiv. It turned out that these were American air defense missiles supplied to Ukraine.
The Russian diplomat urged the West to pay attention to this situation, noting that “the thoughtless pumping of Ukraine with weapons” leads to the fact that civilians in the Donbass and Ukrainian cities are dying from this.
For civilian casualties and damage to peaceful Ukrainian infrastructure, Nebenzya laid the blame on the Ukrainian air defense, recalling the placement of the APU air defense systems in the residential area. Missile fragments or missiles that have gone off course end up in objects that Russia did not aim at, the diplomat added.
