Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya sarcastically noted during a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization that with their choice during the referenda, the residents of the DLNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions fulfilled the wish of Ukrainian President Zelensky, who advised them to “get out to Russia.”
The Russian diplomat also blamed the authorities of the European Union and the United States for what was happening, recalling that since 2014 they “have not lifted a finger to force official Kyiv to comply with the Minsk agreements” in terms of a secure future for the residents of Donbass.
“Zelensky in one of his interviews … said that everyone who considers himself Russian and loves the Russian language, for the sake of his own good and the good of his children, should “get out of Ukraine to Russia.” Now the residents of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are fulfilling his cynical recommendation,” Nebenzya said.
