The Central Election Commission of the Zaporozhye region, whose regions are controlled by the Russian Federation, announced the turnout figures on the first day of the referendum. Turnout was reported to be 20.52%, including voting abroad.

In the Kherson region, it was reported that the turnout on the first day reached 15.31%.

The DPR election committee said that the turnout on the first day was almost a quarter of the total number of residents with the right to vote - 23.64%.

In the LPR, they announced a turnout of 21.97% as of 20:00 Moscow time.
