European sociologists called for a more even distribution of Ukrainian refugees across Europe, since now two states bear the greatest burden in this regard, while other countries have accepted only a small part of the migrants, Interia.pl reports.

Geral Knaus, an expert at the European Stability Initiative analytical center, cited data according to which seven million Ukrainian refugees entered Europe. At the same time, the main flow fell on Poland and the Czech Republic, while a small number of migrants were placed in France.

Knaus added that the most difficult situation with the migration flow could develop in the coming winter. If the situation on the territory of Ukraine escalates, and the country’s electricity and heating system stops working, then Europe will face migration “on a historical scale.”

Earlier it became known that the population of Germany for the first time exceeded 84 million people. Experts attributed this increase to the influx of Ukrainian refugees.
