Nadezhda Babkina and women's misfortunes: the fashion program came out dramatic

It’s not about the clothes, it’s about the attitude

Nadezhda Babkina is back on the fashion throne. And there is a suspicion that up there, she is not bad at all. This is, of course, a place for her – a fashionista, a collector of jewelry, a lady who knows how to appear beautifully.

In the Fashion vs Folk program, Nadezhda, together with Vlad Lisovets, returned to the position of a faithful friend of all those who suffer from the inability to properly dress up. Dressing programs exist in one form or another in many countries. However, fashionable reincarnations in the American or Western European manner are not at all similar to how women are transformed in our country.

And the point here is not even in clothes, but in the approach. They portray a lady with a disastrous wardrobe as someone with a comedic disdain for anything to do with fashion. Hippies lingering in college age, role-playing gamers or something like that.

In most cases, everything is painted in the most dramatic colors. Trouble with men, sacrificing oneself to children, a career contrary to common sense. You can’t just go shopping, you need to work through psychological trauma and life grievances, be reborn like a Phoenix bird, and then dress up.

Last Saturday on the air, everything went like this. The heroine was freed from the unbearable ex on the speakerphone, faithful friends were ready to wipe her tears and even burst into tears themselves, feminist slogans bounced off their teeth. It is surprising that after all these exhausting procedures, the girl still had the strength to walk the catwalk. But she walked easily and effectively, which, of course, gave hope for the benefits of everything experienced.

At the end of the program, the question remained: is it possible to replace Alexander Vasiliev as a fashionable commander in chief? Probably, it is possible, but so far it has not been possible.

Somewhere you heard it

New songs are needed for those who have bad old ones. This concrete rule of the local music industry is embodied on television with some kind of frightening fanaticism. And stars with ancient hits are not the worst thing. At least they sing their own.

Friday musical TV evening resembles a wide revelry of karaoke. In “Voice” they break into the stars, in “My Melody” they are nostalgic, in “Battle of Covers” they cut for money, mixing two songs into one. All this goes on at about the same time on different channels, old hits sound everywhere, sometimes the repertoire overlaps, which turns the broadcast into total deja vu.

If you wish, you can see something positive in such karaoke mania. For example, hits from the so-called unfriendly countries still resound, probably to the dismay of those who see any hint of cosmopolitanism in the musical space as the imminent and inevitable death of the local culture. But the producers are still holding on, perhaps with the last of their strength, preserving the linguistic and sound diversity in the projects.

All this, of course, is little consolation. In their desire to make the background music as comfortable as possible for the public, steering broadcasters seem to rely least of all on the music itself. Not only is it not very fresh, but it is also served either with jokes, or under the sauce of memories, or in the KVN format, or with some kind of trick.

Perhaps, now in the musical air, the greatest luxury that you can count on is being alone with the artist and his repertoire. But this is not for everyone, which means at night or at the “Culture”.
