Muscovites filed a record number of applications for the League of Lecturers competition

Almost two thousand applications were received from the residents of the capital for the third season of the All-Russian competition “League of Lecturers”. In total, more than nine thousand applications have already been received for the competition, which is more than in the first season – then 2.5 thousand lecturers expressed their desire to participate in the competition, in the second season 5 thousand applications were submitted for the competition.

According to the organizers of the competition, its goal is to select the best lecturers in the country who are ready to share their knowledge and skills with others. The contestants will compete in eight areas: ecology and charity, social sciences and humanities, career and business, science and technology, natural sciences, media and marketing, culture and art, sports and healthy lifestyle. The most popular direction was social and humanitarian – almost three thousand applications were submitted for it.

Among those who applied are people of various professions: teachers, doctors, lawyers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, psychologists, actors, artists, designers, musicians … By the way, among the contestants there is a soloist of the Moscow State Operetta Theater, the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, Advisor to the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Head of the Museum of the History of Tatar Literature, General Director of the Prosveshchenie TV Channel, Curator of the Great Peterhof Palace. And one more curious thing: the youngest participant of the contest is 18 years old, the oldest one is 88 years old.

As Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society of Knowledge, noted, the high demand for the competition among people of various professions and ages inspires us to develop and search for new formats of education that will be of interest to everyone in our country.

The third season of the League of Lecturers will run until April 2023. Now the collection of video lectures of the contestants is being completed, which the expert council will then evaluate in terms of content and entertainment. Then, until December, there will be face-to-face performances of the contestants at various venues in the country.

The final of the competition will be held in April 2023 in Moscow. Lecturers will speak at the leading universities of the capital, and their speeches will be evaluated by students, teachers and members of the expert council.

Based on the results of the competition, the jury will select fifty of the best educators, who will receive the title of “Knowledge” lecturer and the right to speak at the events of the Society.
