Moscow State University entered the top 150 of the Shanghai Ranking of World Universities

Shanghai leader rating Universities (ARWU) in 2022 became Harvard University. Of the Russian universities, the highest position was taken by Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov, who entered the top 150.

In total, there are 1 thousand higher educational institutions in the ranking. The top 5 best universities in the world also included Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge and the University of California at Berkeley.

Moscow State University M. V. Lomonosov was placed in the group “101-150 out of 1000”. St. Petersburg State University was included in the top 500. Also from Russian universities, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Higher School of Economics, Sechenov University, Novosibirsk and Tomsk State Universities, Ural Federal University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI were included in the rating.

The ARWU rankings are produced by the World Class University Research Center in Shanghai and have been published since 2003. Among the criteria taken into account when compiling the rating are international cooperation, the number of publications in scientific journals, as well as the number of Nobel Prize winners who graduated from the university.
