Navalny’s case on the creation of an extremist community entered the Moscow City Court
The Moscow City Court announced the receipt of the materials of the criminal case initiated against Alexei Navalny and a number of his associates.
“The date of the hearing has not yet been set,” the court said.
According to the information on the website of the court, Navalny is accused of creating an extremist community, as well as financing extremist activities, public calls for it, involving a minor in committing actions dangerous to his life, creating an NGO that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens, and rehabilitating Nazism. Also involved is Daniel Kholodny, the former technical director of Navalny’s YouTube channel.
A criminal case on the extremist community was initiated, in addition to Navalny, also against foreign agents included in the register, Leonid Volkov, Ivan Zhdanov, Lyubov Sobol, Georgy Alburov and other persons. Most of the defendants, according to available data, are outside the Russian Federation.
