Moldovan Environment Minister Juliana Cantaragiu said she had decided to resign after a scandal surrounding the creation of a site where citizens could buy firewood for the winter.
“Today (September 8 – ed.) I wrote a letter of resignation from the post of minister,” the official said on social networks.
On September 7, during a meeting of the government of the republic, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa criticized Kantaragiu for the fact that her department did not comply with the order and did not create a special website by September 1, where citizens could find the necessary information on the purchase of firewood for the winter.
