One of the first authors of the performer – Vladimir Evzerov – lifted the veil over his passions

The death of Boris Moiseev, who was loved by both the public and the entire Russian show business, will certainly cause a huge number of responses and memories. We asked Vladimir Evzerov, one of the first to recall Borya, the composer whose songs began Moiseev’s career.

– in the 90s, Borya decided to start a solo career as a performer and creator of programs that could find their audience. He began to prepare the program “Boris Moiseev and his lady” in the “Russia” concert hall. We just met and he turned to me with a proposal to write something original and at the same time ours, Russian-Soviet – something that the viewer will go for. So the first song appeared in his performance “Spring is not like joy” to the poems of Sergei Yesenin for the first program. In general, his programs had everything: amazing dance numbers, and a great cast of artists: Lyudmila Zykina Boni M, Irina Ponarovskaya and a host of other good performers. Everyone had their own zest, and all this was combined in the canvas with the dance numbers of the Expression trio. In the second program, he sang my song “Singer of Love – Singer of Sorrow” to the verses of A. Pushkin, and in the third program he closed the program of my “God is with us.”

Was Boris a believer?

— Yes, he very subtly felt the Almighty, the Universe. He was strict in terms of personal morality: do not deceive, do not betray. For this, he was loved and respected by his colleagues on the stage. So this song is not a game for the audience.

“And his lady?” Did they have passion?

– Boris was very fond of women, admired them. At that time, by the way, he had a woman. From the Baltic. He called her a bride, introduced her as a future wife. What worked out for them there — didn’t work out: I don’t know. I didn’t see her in later years.

How do you remember him then and now?

He worked like a beast, like a workhorse, he did not spare himself and this justifies the name of the Expression trio. In recent years, we saw each other very rarely due to illness, and all the time it seemed that the body would overcome the illness and he would return to the stage to the audience that filled the halls at his performances.
