In 2022, the government of the Russian Federation took significant measures to facilitate entrepreneurial activity, said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, during his speech to the State Duma with a report on the work of the government over the past year.

Thus, income tax rates for enterprises in various industries were lowered, the cadastral value of property was fixed for calculating tax payments, deferrals were introduced for the payment of insurance premiums, VAT on hotel services was zeroed, the prime minister said.

In addition, the authorities helped businesses with working capital, primarily through the introduction of a range of preferential loan programs, Mr. Mishustin said. Backbone companies in industry, agro-industrial complex, transport, energy, IT-sphere received almost 1.5 trillion rubles, the head of the Cabinet emphasized.

“Thanks to all these steps, the business was able to free up resources and direct them to the restructuring of their product and supply chains. Adapt to changing conditions,” said Mr. Mishustin.

According to the prime minister, the authorities continue to reduce the administrative burden on entrepreneurs. “The introduction of a number of mandatory requirements has been postponed. More than two and a half million permits for business were automatically extended,” the head of the Cabinet said.
