Mishustin: Russian IT companies increased sales by 22% in 2022

In 2022, domestic IT enterprises increased the sale of products and services by 22%, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during a report on government work for 2022 for the State Duma. The total number of accredited IT companies in the country has also grown.

“Due to pressure from Western countries, the largest foreign software suppliers left Russia. And in such conditions, we have strengthened the support of our developers… We have provided preferential loans for IT enterprises. We exempted them from field tax audits, and we are simplifying public procurement procedures. They canceled income tax for the next two years,” the head of the Cabinet said.

Mr. Mishustin also added that IT-enterprises saturate the markets with new, convenient for citizens forms of purchasing goods. Thus, in three years the number of registered companies in the field of e-commerce has grown 13 times. The prime minister also recalled the release of a single domestic mobile application store.

“Now RuStore has already started working, becoming a replacement for foreign analogues. Over eight million people have installed it to download various banking services, games and online cinemas, online stores. In total - more than eighteen million downloads," the head of government said.
