Mishustin: over 3.5 million families improved housing conditions in 2022

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that over 3.5 million Russian families improved their living conditions in 2022. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers announced such data in the report on the work of the government for 2022 for the State Duma. According to the head of government, by the end of 2022, a record 103 million sq. m of residential property.

“Of course, the main tool for solving the housing problem is a mortgage. Last year, three-quarters of all transactions for the purchase of new buildings were concluded with borrowed funds,” the prime minister said.

Therefore, the authorities, according to Mishustin, finalized the existing mortgage programs: in particular, they extended the “preferential mortgage” and expanded the “family mortgage” (now for parents with two minor children).
