Mishustin announced the development by the government of a law on state policy in the field of migration

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during the government's report to the State Duma, announced the development of a draft law on state policy in the field of migration. According to him, work on the document is being carried out by the government on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.

“Now the government is preparing an important bill that will determine the state policy in the field of migration. It is necessary to take into account all opinions in order to effectively solve the tasks set by the president,” Mishustin emphasized.

As the prime minister explained, the Cabinet of Ministers makes decisions on the transfer to electronic form of procedures for obtaining Russian citizenship and residence permits by foreigners, as well as documents for employment.

Earlier, the government submitted to the State Duma a draft law on the reorganization of migration registration. It expands the use of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the services of the departmental Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Passport and Visa Service" and the specialized Moscow "migration" MFC for processing documents for labor migrants and registering citizens at the place of residence. It is expected that this will simplify the provision of public services and remove some of the burden from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
