Mishustin announced Russia’s leadership in the number of Internet users

Russia occupies a leading position in Europe in terms of the number of Internet users, informed TASS with reference to the speech of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the Digital Almaty forum.
“Russia ranks first in Europe in terms of the number of citizens who have the Internet. At the end of last year, we ranked sixth in the world in terms of the availability of home and mobile access to the network and tenth in terms of the number of data centers,” Mishustin said.
Mishustin stressed that Russia has a vision of how the world will be transformed under the influence of technology and added that the country often acts in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and initiates digitalization.
The International Digital Forum “Digital Almaty” started on February 2. Within the two days of the forum, more than 30 countries and 29 panel sessions are planned to participate, in which 150 speakers from the IT community speak. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Almaty.
