Ministry of Justice declares Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsymbalyuk a foreign agent

Correspondent of the Ukrainian Independent News Agency (UNIAN) Roman Tsymbalyuk is recognized in Russia as an individual foreign agent. Together with him, three more people got into the corresponding register of the Ministry of Justice:

  1. Daniil Ken – head of the “Alliance of Doctors” (recognized as an NGO-foreign agent),
  2. Oleksandr Kushnari is the editor-in-chief of Newsader,
  3. Dmitry Ivanov.

There is no exact information about who the last person on the list is. There is a version in the media that this is blogger Kamikaze Di (kamikadze_d).

In all four cases, the reason for adding to the list is “political activity”, and the foreign source of funding is Ukraine.

On September 16, he was an individual foreign agent announced showman Maxim Galkin. Later, his wife, singer Alla Pugacheva urged The Ministry of Justice also recognized her as a foreign agent, criticizing the actions of the Russian authorities in Ukraine.

The register of media outlets acting as a foreign agent has been maintained by the Russian Ministry of Justice since 2017. In 2022, the department began to maintain a list of individuals-foreign agents. Total as of September 23, 2022 at list individuals are 27 people.
