Ministry of Internal Affairs named license plate codes for new territories

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed an order that proposes to fix the codes with the numbers 80, 81, 84 and 85 on the state numbers of cars from the territories annexed to Russia. The draft order is posted on the federal portal draft legal acts.
It is assumed that the code 80 will be assigned to the Donetsk People’s Republic, 81 to the Luhansk People’s Republic, 84 to the Kherson Region, and 85 to the Zaporozhye Region. Codes 171 and 172, which were previously used on the license plates of the diplomatic missions of the DPR and LPR, will be excluded from the list.
Today, October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved ratification of treaties on the admission of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia, and also signed four relevant federal constitutional laws.
