The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia has developed a mobile application “Fan Card”, according to message Department’s Telegram channel.

“To make Fan Card services even more convenient, the Ministry of Digital Development has created a mobile application. It will help you save your ticket and use it to enter the stadium even without access to the network – just show the QR code from the application at the entrance,” the message says.

In the application, you can issue a Fan ID for yourself or your children, transfer a ticket to another person, find out the schedule, add a match to the calendar, and also go to the club’s website to purchase a ticket. Soon it will be possible to issue a card in the application without visiting the MFC, added to the Ministry of Digital Development. The beta version of the application can be downloaded from the AppStore, AppGallery, Google Play and RuStore.

Fan ID was officially introduced at the games of the Russian Football Championship, starting from the 2022/23 season, the law on this was in December 2021. signed Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the moment, its registration is mandatory for visiting stadiums in Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Sochi. As previously reported, in 2023 it will operate on all arenas of Russian Premier League (RPL) clubs.

The Fan ID system was first used at the FIFA Confederations Cup matches in 2017, and then implemented during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. As part of the Euro 2020 football tournament, a number of matches of which were held in St. Petersburg, Fan ID allowed foreign fans to come to Russia without a visa.
