Two female servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet, Marina Faleyeva and Tatyana Tseluiko, shared their experience in detecting and destroying two Ukrainian drones that tried to attack objects in Sevastopol early in the morning.

“We noticed an object above the water, and saw that it was moving much faster than the boat at the entrance to the bay,” Tatyana Tseluiko said in an interview on the Russia 24 channel.

Marina Faleeva added that the devices could not recognize enemy objects. However, thanks to accurate shots, they were able to destroy two of the three drones. Now they receive a lot of calls with congratulations, but they do not consider themselves heroes.

Earlier, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that the attack of three sea drones was successfully repelled. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that two out of three Ukrainian drones were shot down by female servicemen, who will be nominated for awards and receive cash prizes. Among them – the senior sailor of the contract service Marina Faleeva and chief foreman Tatyana Tseluiko.

Since the beginning of last year, Ukrainian drones have been periodically trying to attack Sevastopol, the main base of the Black Sea Fleet, as well as other objects in the Crimea. The attacks were aimed at the headquarters of the fleet, energy facilities and military airfields. Most of the drones were destroyed by air defense systems.
