Military correspondent Sladkov told why the Russian Armed Forces do not use carpet bombing in Ukraine

The Russian army does not use carpet bombing as part of a special military operation in Ukraine because it is expensive and ineffective. About this radio station "Moscow Speaks" war correspondent Alexander Sladkov said.

He stressed that Russia is not going to bomb Ukrainian cities, now the strikes are delivered "precisely and correctly."

“We will not bomb cities, we are not Ukrainians. Secondly, carpet bombing is an expensive and ineffective measure of influence on the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Sladkov explained.

He also stressed that the second reason for the lack of carpet bombing is the impossibility of Russian aircraft getting into Ukrainian airspace due to air defense. According to him, it makes no sense to drop ammunition on the cities.

The military commissar added that the Russian army is not "at war with the population", so the above method of fighting does not need to be applied.
