The head of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia and director Nikita Mikhalkov appealed to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin with a request to release from mobilization those industry specialists who are now taking part in the filming of socially significant projects. This was reported in the press service of the director.

“I’m not asking for anyone to be released from the army, I’m only talking about the fact that the filming processes, launched and mainly with state money, if they really have artistic and moral value, be completed and come to the audience,” Mikhalkov said.

In this regard, the director asked to give a delay to those without whom film projects cannot be completed.

Mikhalkov also remembered the Soviet filmmakers who took part in the Great Patriotic War. According to him, his colleagues in the workshop are ready today, just as they were then, to help their country in difficult times.
