Metro retail chain canceled entry with guest cards
From March 16, a guest card is no longer needed to enter the Metro retail chain store, said press office companies. Now the card is intended for access to personal discounts, special offers and cashback.
Previously, the guest card was a prerequisite for entering the Metro store. It could be issued by anyone over 18 years old. Prior to this, the card was available only to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
Metro is a German retail chain that opened a business in Russia in 2000. Unlike many European companies, the retailer said there are no plans to stop working in the Russian Federation. According to the results of the 2021/22 financial year, Metro increased sales in Russia up to €2.9 billion.
