Meta company (recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation and banned) announced a new mixed reality headset, the Meta Quest 3 model, which will be the successor to the Meta Quest 2.
The developers have not yet provided detailed information about the new product. It is stated that the headset received a new Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, the performance of which is twice as high as that of its predecessor, and the updated design of the headset made it 40% lighter. The new displays have a higher resolution, allowing for better image detail.
The headset is equipped with four cameras – two full-color and two standard – with an additional depth sensor. In addition, the novelty has received improved Quest 3 TruTouch controllers. The full characteristics of the novelty will be revealed at the presentation of Meta Quest 3, which is scheduled for September 27th. The headset will go on sale in the fall of 2023 at a price of $500.
