MEP Mariani: resolution on terrorism pushes EU to war with Russia

French MEP Thierry Mariani said on social media that the European Parliament, by adopting a resolution recognizing Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism”, is pushing Europe to war with Russia instead of contributing to a peaceful solution to the conflict.
According to him, at the moment the European Union has already exhausted almost all means in this conflict.
“Now, after eight months of war, we are discussing another package of anti-Russian sanctions. At the same time, some hung a shameful sanction on Russia. What will be left after all sanctions are exhausted? Only war,” Mariani said.
He clarified that the initiators of this resolution are pushing for war, putting the demands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky above the interests of the people of France.
