In the Bryansk region, men have become less likely to visit fitness rooms and sports clubs. FinExpertiza analysts came to this conclusion based on Rosstat data.

Most often in fitness clubs there are representatives of the fair sex. In 2022, in the Bryansk region, 52% of visitors were women. A similar trend is observed in other Russian subjects – Kirov, Rostov, Sverdlovsk regions and Bashkiria.

In general, the number of people involved in physical activity and fitness at various sports grounds in the country increased by 6.8%, that is, by a million people. Compared to the pandemic year of 2021, this figure shows that five million Russians have given up training.

However, in a number of regions, on the contrary, the flow of regulars has increased significantly. Tuva and the Kaliningrad region are leaders in this rating, where the number of sports fans has tripled in a year.

In the Bryansk region, the following picture is observed: the number of active users of fitness rooms decreased by 11.4%. Among men, the reduction was 20.9%, among women – 0.1%.
