Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said he was glad if the West is furious because of the negotiations between Russia and China. He announced this on the air of Channel One.

The journalist noted that the authorities of Western countries were “furious”, to which the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation added: “Very well, this makes me very happy.”

Earlier today, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov declaredthat the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping made Western countries nervous. According to him, “there is a reason for this”, since “the two great powers are solving the most important issues of world politics and bilateral relations.”

Xi Jinping arrived in Russia on March 20, on the same day he had an informal meeting with Vladimir Putin. The main program of the visit took place on March 21. First, the leaders of the two countries held negotiation in narrow format, and then continued the meeting with the participation of the delegations of Russia and China. According to Putin, the talks were successful and constructive. According to Interfax, the total duration of communication between Putin and Xi Jinping over these two days exceeded 10 hours.
