Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev recalled the need to fulfill ten-day commitments. He stated this during a meeting of the working group of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation on control over the production of popular types of weapons, military, special equipment and weapons.

“You and I must understand that obligations do not consist of the fulfillment of annual obligations under the conditions of a special military operation, but of the fulfillment of ten-day obligations and making up for what was not done, including last year. Colleagues, I want you to hear me,” he said.

During the same meeting, Medvedev read out wartime telegrams from Joseph Stalin to “cheer up” the heads of defense enterprises. “I ask you to honestly and on time fulfill orders for the supply of tank hulls at the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. Now I ask and hope that you will fulfill your duty to the Motherland. In a few days, if you turn out to be violators of your duty to the Motherland, I will begin to smash you as criminals who neglect the honor and interests of their Motherland. We cannot tolerate our troops suffering at the front from a lack of tanks, while you in the far rear cool off and do nothing,” Medvedev quoted.

According to Medvedev, “the results of this kind of appeal were quite impressive.” “Well, if they [результатов] was not, then you yourself understand what happened,” Medvedev stressed.

In February, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council declaredthat Russia should increase the production of various types of weapons and military equipment, including modern tanks. He noted that this task follows from the state defense order and decisions made by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
