Martial arts festival "Cup of Eurasia" opened in Verkhnyaya Pyshma


On September 24, the opening ceremony of the international children's and youth martial arts festival "Eurasia Cup" was held at the UMMC Sports Palace in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

At the ceremony, the young participants of the competitions were greeted by the regional deputy minister of physical culture and sports Sergey Nabokikh. He noted that the region is famous for various types of martial arts and is rightfully proud of its European and World champions.

“Once upon a time, these champions also had their own competitions, similar to those that we open. And every world champion remembers the tournament that became the springboard to his podium. I wish you that the Eurasia Cup will give you such an opportunity. I wish you success in a fair fight and fewer injuries! ”He said.

The martial arts festival was opened by Alexey Svalov, deputy of the Sverdlovsk Legislative Assembly, head of the public relations department of the UMMC. He thanked the parents and coaches who prepare future champions and wished everyone to remember the Copper Capital Verkhnyaya Pyshma as the most comfortable, hospitable and sporty city.

The competition opened with professional taekwondo versus kickboxing matches for the title of Eurasian champion.

More than a thousand young athletes (from 6 to 17 years old) from 23 regions of Russia (Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Kostroma, Perm, Sverdlovsk, Samara and other regions, as well as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Ingushetia, etc.) take part in the festival. .d.) Among the participants are also representatives of other countries: guests from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Taekwondo and kickboxing competitions are held in the ORIGINAL and POINT-CONTACT sections, as well as in two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sections - GI and NO-GI. The tournament was organized by the TOP TEN martial arts school with the support of the ITF Taekwondo Federation of Russia, the ITF Taekwondo Federation of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Russian Kickboxing Federation, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and the UMMC, the UMMC press service reported.

The tournament will run until September 26th.
