Details of strange thefts of wild animals from zoos have been revealed

The parents of a baby kangaroo stolen from the Yaroslavl Zoo are grieving their loss. As MK managed to find out, adult kangaroos are experiencing severe stress because of what happened.

The incident at the Yaroslavl city zoo occurred on September 27. There, the little kangaroo Krosh was stolen. For technical reasons, the cameras were not working that day. The thieves climbed over the fence using a ladder, took the kangaroo and fled. The criminals did not consider it necessary to clean up the stairs after themselves.

Krosh was born this winter, he is only 9 months old, only recently the little kangaroo began to jump freely and try his parents’ food. Mother Kaira and father Boni did not eat anything the first day, but thanks to the care and attention of zoo workers, the kangaroo's parents began to eat again. “You can see from them that they are stressed, Kaira hardly moves, but Boni, on the contrary, jumps around the entire perimeter of the cage. I hope that Kroshik will be returned to his parents soon,” the zoo worker shared.

Apparently, this is not a simple kidnapping, but a planned series. On September 30, two more female kangaroo chicks were discovered missing from the Sparrows bird park in the Kaluga region. There were basically no cameras here. This time, the attackers cut through the mesh in the kangaroo enclosure and took the cubs.

The girls are only six months old, they just got out of their mother’s bag, they haven’t even had time to give them names yet. Without proper care, kangaroo cubs will die, experts say.
