No one needs untrained fighters on the front line

From the very beginning of partial mobilization, it was announced that all military personnel called up from the reserve would undergo military training under special programs. The officer of the Luhansk People’s Republic Fedor Sergeev, in an interview with MK, told how the additional training of the Russian military in the Donbass will take place.

– Yes, indeed, the first groups of people mobilized from the Russian Federation are already arriving on the territory of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. Despite the fact that all these people are military specialists who once served in the military, and some even took part in hostilities, they will undergo combat coordination and additional training in any case.

Full-fledged units will be formed from them. The decision on their combat use will be made by the highest military leadership.

Now units are being formed from the mobilized, starting with squads, platoons, companies and up to battalions. Accordingly, the combat coordination of these same units is organized. Further training for combat use, they are no longer a scattered group, but a full-fledged military unit.

No one needs untrained units in the zone of the special military operation. So it was with the volunteer battalions “Bars” and with additionally formed units of the People’s Militia of the LPR and DPR.

– What are the mobilized being taught?

– It all depends on the military specialty and the unit where the serviceman will be sent. All, without exception, take a course in tactical medicine in order to have the skills to provide first aid to themselves and their comrades in combat conditions. It also refreshes weapon handling skills. Now the mobilized receive AK-12 assault rifles, for most of them this is a new weapon. Instructors conduct classes on modern communications, tactical and engineering training. And, of course, classes on military equipment – already depending on the type of troops.

– Will the mobilized after training and combat coordination form independent units or will they be integrated into existing ones?

– I think that the decision – where exactly and in which formations to use the mobilized – will be made by the top military leadership of Russia and the command in the territories of the republics. I think it will depend on the prevailing situation. I am sure that in the near future there will be a serious change. But in any case, for another two or three weeks, the newcomers will be trained and undergo combat coordination. They will definitely not be admitted to combat missions before this period. Nobody needs untrained fighters.
