Liksutov: Almost half of the turnstiles in the Moscow metro have been updated

In the Moscow Metro, almost half of the turnstiles have been updated - 1,760 devices. Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport, spoke about this.

According to him, almost all the turnstiles on five lines have already been changed - Zamoskvoretskaya, Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya, Sokolnicheskaya.

Passengers have already appreciated the new turnstiles with a modern design. All useful information is displayed on them during the passage - the status of the ticket, the remaining number of trips - and the bright outline and large font make the use of turnstiles convenient, including for the visually impaired.

It is important that the new turnstiles work more than 2 times faster when paying with a bank card, and 3 times faster when paying with Face Pay.

“In November of this year, we will complete all the work, and it will be possible to pay for travel with a bank card at any turnstile. It is very important that the new equipment is made by domestic manufacturers using Russian software,” emphasizes Maxim Liksutov.
