LG introduced a portable 27-inch TV - Kommersant


LG introduced StanbyME Go is a portable 27-inch TV integrated in a protective case with a built-in audio system.

The novelty received a touch LCD screen with support for Dolby Vision and a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, which can be installed in different positions due to the stand - landscape and portrait orientations are supported with different display angles, which can also work in a completely horizontal position. The 20W speaker set supports Dolby Atmos technology.

StanbyME Go runs on LG's webOS operating system, which is used by other smart TV companies. Control is declared both from the physical remote control included in the kit, and using voice commands. To connect external image sources, an HDMI port is provided, the AirPlay protocol for transmitting images from Apple devices, and support for Android gadgets has been announced. The built-in battery provides the TV with up to three hours of operation. The shipping case is MIL-STD certified, but no detailed level of protection is given.

Sales of LG StanbyME Go will begin on June 7th. The cost of a new TV in South Korea will be about $890, but the release of the device in other markets has not yet been reported.
