Soviet and Russian pop singer, People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko spoke about the death of Vyacheslav Dobrynin. Earlier it was reported that the composer died in one of the Moscow clinics at the age of 78, where he was hospitalized with a stroke.

“Dobrynin has been in very serious condition for the last two weeks, doctors have been monitoring him around the clock,” the Shot Telegram channel reports the artist’s words. Leshchenko added that he learned about Dobrynin’s death from his wife Irina Dobrynina about an hour and a half ago.

The singer called Dobrynin a “legend,” noting that he discovered a special genre of pop music unique to him.

“This is sad news not only for friends, but also for the entire Russian musical community,” Leshchenko emphasized.

Let us recall that Lev Leshchenko performed Vyacheslav Dobrynin’s popular song “Farewell,” which the composer wrote back in 1975.
