LetterOne to buy British partner's assets in Cyprus and Romania

The pharmaceutical division of Mikhail Fridman's LetterOne investment company will buy assets in Cyprus and Romania from its British partner Blantyre Capital. This is the share of the company - the owner of two European pharmaceutical assets - Remedica and Sun Wave Pharma.

The applications of a specialized division of the investment holding L1 Health for the purchase of a stake in the Cypriot Emma Healthcare Holdings at the beginning of 2023 were published on their websites by the Competition and Consumer Protection Authority of the Republic of Malta and the Competition Commission of the Republic of Cyprus. Attention was drawn to this RBC.

L1 Health turned to the Maltese antimonopoly authority, since the pharmaceutical asset Remedica has a representative office in the republic, and the British chain Holland & Barrett, owned by LetterOne investment company, has a franchisee in this local market.

Emma Healthcare is the owner of the Cypriot generics manufacturer Remedica and the Romanian manufacturer of dietary supplements Sun Wave Pharma. Remedica has five production sites in Cyprus. The company's products are supplied to 135 countries. Sun Wave Pharma produces 74 products and occupies over 13% of the Romanian dietary supplement market.
