On April 2, a festival of lenten cuisine will be held on the main square of the Kremlin in Izmailovo. Guests of the festival will be able to taste delicious and traditional Lenten dishes prepared by famous chefs.

The venue for the festival will be the main square of the “Kremlin in Izmailovo”, where the Church of St. Nicholas is located – the ascribed church of the Moscow St. Danilov Monastery, made in the ancient traditions of Russian architecture.

Guests of the festival will get acquainted with the primordial traditions of the Russian people, the ancient recipes of monastic dishes and the strict tradition of their performance. Famous chefs at their master classes will show and talk about the revival of the traditions of lean cuisine in modern conditions.

The festival program promises to be rich, on the main square of the Izmailovo Kremlin visitors will be able to get acquainted with the originality of old recipes of Russian cuisine, see master classes from famous chefs, students of culinary universities and schoolchildren, take a walk around the fair, and, of course, tradition, a flash mob “FRIENDSHIP” will be held with the participation of chefs and Alexei Sorokin, the creator of the family culinary and gastronomic project “PAPASHEF” and “Soldier’s Porridge” and the head of the Council of the Fathers of the ROD “Family of the Fatherland”.

A delicious lean dish that will be cooked in a huge frying pan, all guests will be able to try!

From 13.30 to 15.30 there will be an interactive competition “Fasting a righteous fast” among chefs (on the street) and joint cooking of the dish “Lenten porridge is our food, delicious kulesh” in a large cauldron.

The Boyar Hall will host a competition among schoolchildren and students of culinary colleges and universities.
