Leica's New Digital Camera Has No Display – Kommersant
Leica Company presented digital camera M11-D, which has no display. The company claims that this will help focus on composition, shutter speed and aperture while shooting. The cost of the new product is almost $9.4 thousand, the camera is compatible with all M-series lenses released since 1954.
The camera has a 60 MP camera and a buffer capable of shooting five images per second. The camera has a 256 GB drive that can be expanded to 2 TB using a UHS II SD card slot.
You can connect to your smartphone or PC via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, there is a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. According to the developers, the camera has excellent noise-reduction characteristics even in low light.
The Leica M11-D isn't the company's first digital camera without a display, but the previous version is 120g heavier. It's $400 more expensive than the regular M11, which has a display for reviewing photos and navigating menus, but the standard M11 only comes with 64GB of storage.
