Lavrov stressed the invariability of Russia’s view on the Kosovo problem

The situation in Kosovo must be resolved with respect for the legitimate interests of Serbia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
At a meeting with Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin, Lavrov stressed that Russia maintains an unchanged position on the Kosovo issue. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the resolution of the situation in Kosovo requires the attention of the UN Security Council.
As Lavrov stated, Russia will accept only such an outcome of events in Kosovo that will satisfy the Serbian side. He promised Serbia all-round assistance in reaching a satisfactory outcome for resolving the events in Kosovo.
