Kuban PODA shooters won 10 awards at the Russian Championship
The Russian Championship among POD athletes ended in Aleksin, Tula Region. Kuban archers took 10 medals from the competition.
According to information press service of the Krasnodar Region administrationabout 90 athletes from 23 regions of Russia came to the tournament. 7 people from Kuban participated in the championship. The competition included single and team competitions in shooting from a classic and compound bow. There were also mixed teams. At the end of the championship, Kuban athletes won three gold, two silver and five bronze medals.
Deputy Head of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Vlasov noted that in the region over 101,000 people of the PODA are engaged in physical education and sports. Among the developing and popular disciplines is archery.
People with disabilities can practice sports in all municipalities of the region under the guidance of 284 specialists, the vice-governor emphasized. Currently, there are almost 800 institutions in Kuban adapted for training people with disabilities.
