Kuban judokas won 31 medals at the SFD Championship

Athletes from the Krasnodar Territory won 31 awards at the SFD Judo Championship. The competitions took place in May on the territory of Armavir. 205 judokas from 7 subjects of the Russian Federation took part in the tournament. Kuban was represented by 102 athletes.
Thus, representatives of the region managed to win 8 gold medals, as well as 7 silver and 16 bronze medals. The names of the winners were posted on the website of the Ministry of Sports of the Kuban. The head of the regional ministry, Serafim Timchenko, noted that the excellent performance of the Kuban athletes is quite expected, since judo is the basic sport in the region. According to him, martial arts centers give an additional impetus to the development of this discipline. Next year, such sports facilities will operate in all 44 municipalities of the region.
Earlier, “MK in the Kuban” wrote that yachtsmen from the Krasnodar Territory won 4 awards in sailing competitions in Minsk.
