Kuban handball players will meet with the national champions
On the evening of November 17, Krasnodar “Kuban” will play in Moscow with CSKA in a match of the women’s handball Super League. The game against the current champions of the tournament and the winners of the Russian Cup will begin at 19.30.
In the first round, at the beginning of October, the Kuban team managed to beat the Moscow handball players with a score of 32:31. This victory was Kuban's first in history over CSKA. The most productive player in that game was Olympic champion Victoria Zhilinskaite, who hit the CSKA goal 10 times with 11 shots. As noted in the press service of the Krasnodar club, the yellow-green coach Denis Saifulin became the first coach in the Super League who, with one team, won both Rostov-Don and CSKA. Moreover, both teams were the current national champions.
Currently, Kuban is in 5th place in the Super League standings with 17 points. The team has 8 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses. CSKA is second with 21 tournament points.
