Users of social networks in Russia will not be held responsible for other people’s comments that contain signs of LGBT propaganda. This explanation was given by State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein.

“The VKontakte page is not your property – you are a tenant, even if you use illegal social networks recognized in the Russian Federation, then you are also a tenant,” said the head of the information policy committee.

Based on this, the parliamentarian noted that Russians will not be held accountable for the content of comments by other users, which will contain signs of LGBT propaganda.

Khinshtein previously reported that Roskomnadzor needed block sitescontaining LGBT propaganda. Corresponding amendments were made to the bill.
