The Kemerovo region became the regions with the maximum growth in industrial waste based on the results of research over the past year. The region accounted for 58.5% of the growth, as well as the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Buryatia and the Novosibirsk Region.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, industrial waste for 2021 increased by 150.2 million tons, or + 37.2%), in Buryatia – 83.3 million tons, an increase of more than 3 times, in the Novosibirsk Region – 77.4 million tons, or +86.5%, the Irkutsk region – 60.8 million tons, or +19.7%.

Over the past year, Russian enterprises generated a record 8.45 billion tons of waste, which is 21.5% more than in 2020 and 9% more than in 2019.
