The authorities of Kazakhstan are going to close their trade representation in Russia. This follows from the decree of the government of the country, posted on the site “Open regulations”.

It is noted that the public discussion of the document will last until February 15. At the same time, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Committee of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic were ordered to take measures “following from this resolution.”

On the eve it became known that the authorities of Kazakhstan decided cover up a loophole for Russian and Belarusian hauliers who, by re-registering their trucks in the republic, were able to transport goods to the European Union in circumvention of sanctions.

As a result, local carriers began to complain that Russian and Belarusian companies took 70 percent of the international transport market, causing a shortage of quotas for transporting goods in the EU.

It is expected that “newcomer” companies will lose the opportunity to “register” their trucks in Kazakhstan from February 20.
