Most Zenit players refused to enter the mixed zone to communicate with the press after the match with Dynamo. This was reported by several sports journalists, including Sergei Egorov and Michele Antonova.

The refusal of the players to go to the mixed zone is a violation of clause 7.13 of the regulations of the Russian Premier League. Several players of the St. Petersburg club came out to the journalists, the rest, probably, immediately went to the bus. The media asked for an interview with Anton Makarenko’s press officer, but the players were no longer there.

Zenit beat Dynamo at the match in Moscow with a score of 2:0 and scored a total of 26 points in the RPL. In other matches, Rostov, having defeated Krylya Sovetov 2:1, rose to second place with 22 points, and CSKA, after a sensational defeat from Torpedo with a score of 0:1, dropped to third.
