It will please the eyes of children on a polar night: what representatives of the renovated school No. 289 in the Murmansk region told about the overhaul

School No. 289 in Zaozersk in the Murmansk region has become one of the educational institutions participating in the special project “Overhaul of schools – 2022”, organized by Moskovsky Komsomolets together with the Ministry of Education and the United Russia party. Renovation and landscaping have been completed there, and everything necessary for the return of children to their desks has been prepared. I learned from the representatives of the MK in Murmansk school how the renovation is going and what they think about the project.

According to director Irina Kondratenko, the focus was on repairing the facade, roof, blind areas, porch, as well as the gym and dining room. She explained that it was the second, older school building that got into the program, which was built back in 1979 and was not overhauled, maintaining the condition with cosmetic repairs. The director expressed her gratitude to the governor, the Ministry of Education of the Murmansk region and the federal program itself, noting that such projects should be supported so that they last as long as possible. “Impressions from the repair are the best. This is a very necessary thing, it’s great that they paid attention to it and now school spaces have begun to be put in order. It’s great that there is an opportunity to allocate funds for this, ”Kondratenko shared her impressions.

The interlocutor of the publication said that the educational institution purchased furniture, sports equipment, multimedia stands in the assembly hall, updated textbooks for grades 1-5, equipment for physics and chemistry classrooms. New tables and chairs came to the school canteen, which were installed to replace the “Soviet” benches. This gave the hall a completely different, more modern look.

“Of course, there is still a lot to do, everything will be carried out as planned. But now the building has changed, it has become completely different, very beautiful: bright accents have been made on the windows. We like it, parents too, we discussed everything together. Of course, professionals helped us with the choice of the project, they advised how it would be better, they guided us in this matter,” said Kondratenko.

Ekaterina Dyakova, a member of the parental control headquarters at the Public Council, added that the second building was built according to the “southern model”, that is, there were large windows, and the school itself was somewhat cold. Now, thanks to the insulation of the facade, it will be much warmer there.

In addition, the interlocutor of MK in Murmansk drew attention to the bright accents in the new design of the building. For example, in the dining room and gym, there is a coloring that will “please the eyes of children on a polar night.”

“You know, I am very glad that our schools were paid attention to, because even though cosmetic repairs were supported there on their own, there was no global one for a long time. Everything was clean and tidy, but I wanted it to be bright, beautiful and modern. Here we waited. I hope that building No. 1 will also be ennobled later and everything will be done beautifully,” summed up Dyakova.
