The main city of Eastern Siberia turned into a real cultural capital for three days from 18 to 20 November. Eminent writers, actors, artists and other representatives of the Russian creative industry gathered here. The reason for the celebration of culture was the festival “Energy”, organized by the Russian holding En + in honor of the 20th anniversary of the company.

6,500 Irkutsk citizens took part in the festival, the oldest of whom is already 81 years old, and the youngest is only 2 months old. The cultural weekend set several records at once. So, for example, tickets for 2 performances of the play “Tanya” at the Moscow Theater on Bronnaya were sold out in just 6 hours. And 458 admirers of the talent of Yulia Menshova and her father became the owners of her autograph on a unique photograph from the filming of the film Love and Doves. The Dostoevsky shop sold 2,876 books during the festival, and in the children’s section, little creators created 896 pieces of music with the help of singing vegetables.





A total of 2,756 people attended public talks with the participation of the playwright and director Konstantin Bogomolov, the founder of the literary and theatrical project “Unprincipled Readings” Alexander Tsypkin and actress Yulia Menshova.





Recall that the list of festival guests included prose writer and literary critic, author of the novel “Laurel” Yevgeny Vodolazkin, actresses Kristina Babushkina and Aglaya Tarasova, writers Denis Dragunsky, Vadim Panov, Yana Vagner, Masha Traub, Stanislav Goldfarb, poet Dmitry Vodennikov.
